Facials in Van Nuys, Los Angeles

Reviewed by Dr. Aloysius Fobi, MD, Medical Director, ALGM Beauty Bar · Last Updated: May 2026

Every facial begins with a skin consultation so we can match the right treatment to your skin type, goals, and current condition. Most facials at our Van Nuys clinic run 45 to 90 minutes, depending on the service. We offer acne, anti-aging, back, hydration, MD Peel, RF, and PMP facials, among other signature treatments. Expected downtime is minimal, with mild pinkness resolving within a few hours for most patients.

We serve patients across Van Nuys, Sherman Oaks, Encino, North Hollywood, and Burbank. To book a facial consult in Van Nuys, call (747) 755-5333 or visit our contact page.

Before You Book

Is a Facial at ALGM Right for You?

Five questions we get asked most before a first facial visit.

I have never had a medical-spa facial. Where do I start?

Start with a skin consult, not a specific facial. We look at your skin under good lighting, ask what bothers you and what you have tried, and then recommend a service that matches. For most first visits we lean toward a hydration facial or a customized facial, since both are gentle and let us see how your skin reacts before adding stronger treatments like peels or RF later.

I have a specific concern (acne, pigmentation, dryness). Which facial actually helps?

It depends on the concern. Acne and clogged pores respond best to an acne facial or deep pore cleansing. Pigmentation and uneven tone tend to need an MD Peel or microdermabrasion over a few visits. Dryness and tightness usually want a hydration facial. Skin texture and fine lines respond to RF or PMP. We never put you in a service that does not match what you are dealing with.

Can I combine a facial with injectables in the same visit?

Often, yes, but the order and timing matter. We usually do the facial first (so the skin is clean and product-free), then injectables. Some pairings work well in one visit, like a hydration facial plus a small Botox touch-up. Others, like deep peels or aggressive RF, are best on a different day from injections to avoid pressure or inflammation on filler placement. Lily maps the sequence in your consult.

How often should I come in for facials?

For most people, once every four to six weeks. That roughly matches the time it takes for new skin cells to surface, so each visit builds on the last instead of starting over. Series-based treatments like MD Peels or RF facials run shorter spacing during the series (every two to three weeks) and then stretch out to maintenance once the goal is met. If life only allows quarterly visits, we tell you which single facial will give you the most for that schedule.

How is facial pricing structured?

Each facial has its own price based on time, products, and technology used. Hydration and customized facials are at the entry end, MD Peels and RF in the middle, and PMP or Plasma toward the top. We give you the exact price in your consult before you book anything, and we accept CareCredit if you want to break a series into payments instead of paying upfront.

Our Most-Requested Facials

Six facials we offer most often

While we offer over a dozen facial types, these are the treatments our Van Nuys clients request most. Each one addresses specific skin concerns with targeted techniques.

MD Peel

A medium-depth chemical peel that uses professional-grade exfoliating acids to remove damaged outer layers of skin. Best for sun damage, uneven skin tone, fine lines, and dull texture. The peel stimulates cell turnover so fresher, smoother skin surfaces within 5 to 7 days. Expect mild flaking for several days after treatment. Duration: approximately 60 minutes.

RF Facial

Uses controlled radiofrequency energy to heat the deeper layers of skin, stimulating collagen production and tightening the tissue. Best for loss of firmness, jawline definition, and mild skin laxity. Results build gradually over 4 to 6 weeks as new collagen forms. Most patients see noticeable tightening after 3 to 4 sessions. Duration: approximately 45 minutes.

Acne Facial

A targeted treatment designed to clear active breakouts and prevent future ones. Includes deep cleansing, professional extractions, and antibacterial treatment applied to congested areas. Best for active acne, clogged pores, and oily skin. We assess your breakout pattern and adjust the approach for your specific skin type. Duration: approximately 60 to 75 minutes.

Back Facial

A full facial treatment adapted for the back, an area most people cannot properly reach or treat on their own. Includes deep cleansing, exfoliation, extractions if needed, and a treatment mask. Best for back acne, body breakouts, and rough skin texture on the upper back and shoulders. Duration: approximately 60 minutes.

Hydration Facial

A deeply moisturizing treatment that replenishes the skin with hydrating serums and a nourishing mask. Best for dry or dehydrated skin, post-treatment recovery, seasonal dryness, and patients who want a gentler facial without extractions. Duration: approximately 45 to 60 minutes.

Glow Peel Facial

Combines antioxidant-rich products with professional exfoliation and hydration to brighten and refresh tired-looking skin. Best for dull complexion, early signs of aging, and general skin maintenance between more intensive treatments. Duration: approximately 60 minutes.

Your Treatment Team

Performed by trained estheticians

Facial treatments at ALGM Beauty Bar are performed by our trained esthetician team under the oversight of Dr. Aloysius Fobi, MD. Each treatment plan begins with a skin assessment and a recommendation rooted in what your skin needs right now.

A facial is not one size fits all. In Van Nuys I see patients with sun damage, breakouts, dryness, and skin that just needs maintenance. The right facial for you depends on what your skin is doing right now. I always start with an honest skin check before we pick the treatment. That consult is the part patients skip at other places, and it is the part that matters most.Lily Gazaryan, Founder, ALGM Beauty Bar

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Exfoliating facials are best for oily skin as these facials fight the buildup of excess oil. We recommend the rejuvenative facial or glow peel facial for the best result.

If you have the right skincare products and the know-how, you can do facials at home. However, we recommend getting these services from certified professionals.

It depends on the facial you choose. Our facials can take anywhere between 45 minutes and 2 hours.

For most skin types, once a month is ideal. Monthly facials align with your skin's natural cell turnover cycle (approximately 28 days). If you are treating a specific concern like acne or hyperpigmentation, your esthetician may recommend treatments every 2 to 3 weeks until the condition improves.

During your consultation, we assess your skin type, concerns, and goals to recommend the best treatment. For oily or acne-prone skin, we typically recommend an acne facial or glow peel. For dry skin, a hydration facial works best. For aging concerns, the RF facial or MD peel delivers the most visible results.

Yes. Facials like the PMP (Plasma Microneedling Peel), MD Peel, and microdermabrasion can significantly improve the appearance of acne scars over a series of treatments. For deeper scarring, we may recommend combining facials with microneedling.

Facial pricing depends on the type of treatment. Basic facials start at a different price point than medical-grade treatments like RF facials or MD peels. Contact us at (747) 755-5333 for an exact quote.
